More Rain in the Forecast for the Majority of East Texas

The Brazos River in Richmond is currently at Gage Elevation 9.54. We are anticipating a slight rise in the Brazos River through Richmond; however, based on the forecasts the Brazos in Richmond should remain below Richmond Gage 11. Based on the 7-day extended forecast, no flooding along the Brazos River is anticipated.

This Week

We are starting the week with a warm and sunny Monday before another round of potential storms work their way through the majority of the eastern half of Texas. This is all ahead of another cold front that should move through the Region late Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning.

Based on the forecasts, the upper portions of the Brazos River Watershed could see between 1 to 1.5 inches of rainfall while Fort Bend County and the lower portions could see an inch or less over the next 3 to 4 days.
