As expected, the Tropical Disturbance, soon to be TS Nestor, is moving through the central Gulf of Mexico toward the Florida panhandle.

As this disturbance move away from Texas, we can look forward to a great weekend and the upcoming week. Based on the 7 day forecast, we can expect another cold front to push through Monday morning. With that, we are expecting showers and storms to develop across the region starting on Sunday.

Rainfall amounts should on the lighter side; however, we could see widespread rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches over much of the lower Brazos River watershed from Sunday through Monday.

Even with these widespread amounts, we are not anticipating flooding along the Brazos River. Overall, the lower Brazos River, including Fort Bend County could see rainfall amounts around 2 inches over the next 7 days.
