The Brazos River in Richmond is currently at Gage Elevation 26.19 feet (Action Stage) and is anticipated to stay above Gage Elevation 21 through Saturday, February 2nd.

Based on the rain received last week, we saw the Brazos River make a minor jump, but overall the water levels at the Richmond Gage are on a downward trend.
Over the next 7 to 10 days, we could see a mixture of partly cloudy to overcast skies. The current forecast is showing a 75%+ change for rain this evening with an estimated rainfall total of less than 0.2 inches.

The biggest issue will be the drop in temperatures as our high for today is around 70°F with a low in the mid to upper 30s tomorrow morning. After tomorrow we should see our rain chances drop while our temperatures rise through Friday when the next round of storms could develop in region. Based on the current forecasts, we could see between 0.5 to 1.0 inches of rainfall in the lower Brazos River watershed over the next 7 days. The majority of that rainfall is predicted to fall on Friday.
