We continue to watch how the system progresses as it makes it’s way to the Texas coast. Based on the latest forecasts, we should expect to see rain through Thursday with Monday and Tuesday bringing the heaviest for our region.
Over the next 24 to 48 hours we could see between 4 to 6 inches of rainfall hit Fort Bend County with some areas seeing higher and lower amounts.
Through Thursday, we could see 6 to 8 inches fall in Fort Bend County, with the majority of the lower Brazos River watershed receiving between 5 to 8 inches.
With the dry conditions throughout the area, we should not see widespread flooding, but we could see isolated areas with excessive ponding especially with short duration, high intensity downpours. As always, the results and impacts from the rain will vary and be dependent upon the location, duration, and total rainfall received.
